Hi, I’m amanda spencer

I’m originally from Camano Island, Washington, and after living in Oregon for a few years, I moved to Kentucky with my husband in 2020. As a mother of two and a substitute teacher, I have always been passionate about art. From a young age, I have painted and crafted, but I truly fell in love with watercolors and ink a few years ago. Now, I’m a mixed-media artist who enjoys exploring my creativity in the studio.

My biggest influence has been my mother, who always encouraged me to pursue my artistic passions. Tragically, she passed away from cancer in 2022. Selling my artwork after my mother’s passing has become a deeply meaningful way to honor her memory. Each piece I create is infused with her spirit, a reflection of the encouragement she always gave me to pursue my passion. When someone buys my art, it feels like they are embracing not just my creativity, but also the love and dreams we shared. Each sale is a testament to her belief in following one’s heart, transforming grief into a celebration of life and connection. My work embodies my belief that art can be found in everything. It's finding beauty in the small things that brings me so much joy.

My Approach

Each piece that I create is full of love and heart. I firmly believe that the key to happiness is finding beauty in little moments, whether it’s a calming cup of coffee, a beautiful breakfast, or the view out of your back window.

Art can be found anywhere and in anything, after all it’s the simple things in life that mean the most and truly inspire all that I create.
I hope my work inspires you and brings joy into your home.

Materials

I use oils, acrylics, watercolors, and ink. I produce original works of art, fine art prints, wooden bookmarks, magnets and so much more.

Exploration

There are always new methods and materials to explore. I am consistently pushing myself to try new things, and you will see that in my art.
